The Color Bar Academy: Where Education Becomes Artistry

At The Color Bar, education has always been at the heart of who we are. From the very beginning, we  believed that continuous learning is the key to giving clients the best experience possible—and that  every stylist, no matter their background, deserves access to strong fundamentals. 

The Color Bar Academy grew from that belief. It’s our way of sharing what we’ve learned over the  years and helping Filipino stylists strengthen their craft, deepen their understanding, and grow with  confidence. 

A Story Rooted in Education 

Education is the heartbeat of The Color Bar. 

From the moment we opened our first branch, our priority was to ensure that our Color Baristas were  trained under strong fundamentals—color theory, canvas behavior, foiling discipline, and the art and  science of formulation. 

This internal culture of learning allowed us to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences to clients  across our branches in BGC, Estancia, and Molito. 

But behind the scenes, a bigger dream was forming: 

Sharing this knowledge with the industry. 

Our Journey: How The Color Bar Academy
Began 2024: The Spark That Started It All 

As part of our anniversary celebration in 2024, we launched something we had long dreamed of— a FREE Masterclass on Hair Coloring open to stylists across the country. 

We welcomed over 20 students from different places in the Philippines, each eager to learn, grow,  and elevate their craft. 

The overwhelming response was a sign: 

There is a real hunger for deeper, more purposeful education in the Philippines. Growing the Curriculum 

Inspired by the feedback and the success of the masterclass, we expanded the materials, refined the  frameworks, and built on the lessons that truly mattered. The vision evolved, and so did the  curriculum.

Q3 2024: Birth of the 6 Chapters 

By the end of the third quarter of 2024, we officially launched the 6 Chapters of The Color Bar  Academy— 

a well-curated learning path shaped by: 

• global best practices 
• years of salon experience 
• real corrective cases 
• scientific principles 
• the discipline behind The Color Bar’s service excellence 

These chapters were not random topics—they were personal to our journey. They reflect the actual  challenges stylists face and the solutions that have consistently worked in our salon. 

December 2024: First Public Enrollment Class 

In December 2024, we opened our first official public class—and it was a resounding success. Stylists embraced the fresh approach and appreciated the product-agnostic philosophy of the  Academy. 

2025: A Year of Growth and Impact 

By Q3 2025, we proudly completed four batches, each filled with passionate stylists eager to  understand the why behind color, not just the steps. 

The Academy has quickly become one of the most trusted education platforms for stylists who want  mastery—not just techniques.
