The Color Bar also believes that every color-treated hair needs to be taken care of, therefore a wide-array of hair treatments are available as in-salon services, designed to complement hair color services.
2. Who founded The Color Bar?
The Color Bar was founded by celebrity hair colorist JOF Fantone, known for creating modern hair color transformations for beauty queens, influencers, and clients who want expertly crafted color. He co-found it with his business partner, Darwin Cerrado, a business analytics professional.
3. What makes The Color Bar different from other salons?
The Color Bar focuses specifically on hair coloring expertise. Our stylists are trained Color Baristas who specialize in modern coloring techniques, color theory, and hair health. Many of our stylists undergo continuous professional training through The Color Bar Academy, our education program dedicated to advanced hair color techniques.
4. What is a Color Barista?
A Color Barista is a stylist who specializes in professional hair coloring. At The Color Bar, Color Baristas are trained to understand color theory, balayage placement (as well as other placements), toning, and color correction to create customized results for each client.
The Color Bar has high standards in terms of education for stylists or color baristas. Given the layer of education, The Color Bar gives a badge of expertise to certain stylists who passed the standards. These badges allow stylists to perform technical services depending on their badge of expertise. This why they have:

JOF Fantone is the Creative Director and Head Colorist of The Color Bar. He is known for his signature balayage, blonde transformations, and modern hair color techniques.
7. Does JOF Fantone do clients personally?
Yes. JOF Fantone accepts appointments depending on his schedule. He can be booked in any of the 3 branches.
8. How does JOF Fantone train the salon team?
JOF mentors the salon’s Color Baristas and is also involved in training programs through The Color Bar Academy, where stylists learn advanced techniques in balayage, color correction, and modern blonde services.

Yes. Balayage is one of our signature services. Our Color Baristas (particularly the Balayage Specialists) are trained in modern balayage techniques designed to create soft dimension and natural color transitions.
11. What is balayage?
Balayage is a freehand hair coloring technique where color is painted onto the hair to create a natural, blended effect without harsh lines.
12. Do you offer fashion hair colors?
Yes. We create customized fashion colors including ash tones, pastel shades, silver, and other creative color combinations depending on the desired result. This could also be in different placement techniques – Balayage, Hightlights with Toner, Color Melt, Blond Ambition etc.
13. Can you fix bad or uneven hair color?
Yes. We specialize in color correction services designed to address uneven color, brassiness, overly dark tones, or previous coloring mistakes.
14. How do you ensure good hair color results?
Every service includes a consultation to assess hair condition, previous color history, and the client’s desired result.
15. Can dark hair become blonde?
Yes, but achieving blonde depends on your starting hair color and condition. For darker hair, the process may require multiple sessions to safely lighten the hair.
16. How long does it take to go blonde?
Depending on the starting color and hair condition, achieving blonde may take one or several sessions to maintain hair health.
17. What blonde shades work best for Filipina skin tones?
Popular shades include ash blonde, beige blonde, honey blonde, and soft caramel tones. Our stylists recommend shades based on your undertone and personal style.
18. Will bleaching damage my hair?
Professional lightening techniques combined with bond-repair treatments help maintain the health and strength of the hair. So to answer, yes it can be but with professional hair stylists doing it the right way, it can be avoided. Important to note also that dryness is not necessarily hair-damage. Dryness can be addressed by proper moisturizing products.

We use professional-grade coloring systems and treatments designed to protect the hair during chemical services.
20. Do you use bond-repair treatments like Olaplex?
Yes. Treatments such as Olaplex, Wellaplex and Peptide like K-18 or K2.0 help strengthen and protect the hair during coloring.

Yes. Our stylists will assess your hair’s condition and recommend the safest approach.

Using color-safe shampoo, conditioning treatments, and periodic toning services can help maintain your hair color.
23. Do I need to book an appointment?
Appointments are recommended for hair color services since these require longer service times and so that we can assign the right specialist for your hair color target.
We also accept walk-ins.
24. Do you accept walk-in clients?
Walk-ins are accepted depending on stylist availability.
25. How long do hair color services take?
Service duration varies depending on the complexity:
• Root retouch: about 1.5–2 hours
• Full color: about 2–3 hours
• Balayage: about 3–5 hours
• Color correction: may take longer
26. How much does balayage cost?
Pricing depends on hair length, thickness, and technique required. For an estimate, clients may send photos of their current hair and desired color.
